GRRR is the design and digital partner of the BNA (Dutch Association of Architectural Agencies). BNA wants too, in a small-scale and playful way, draw attention to the power of design for making our lives more sustainable. That is why GRRR created brand elements, a website and campaign for the ArchiTents Challenge.
BNA and Lowlands challenge you to design the coolest tent ever. For the nicest campers in the Netherlands: the Lowlands camping guests. Do you have an idea for a tent 2.0 that steals the show in form, function and space? Then send in your design sketch. And who knows, your winning ArchiTent will be prominent at Lowlands in August. So it is a chance to get into the picture nationwide. In addition, you win 2 tickets for the entire Lowlands weekend, and you get a workshop at tentmaker Karsten.
Check the website for more information and to sign up. You can submit your entry until 26 April.
This Challenge fits nicely with our urge to innovate. Perhaps a young architect designs a beautiful, durable tent that makes the disposable tent unnecessary. But it would also be great if someone literally and figuratively sent in a big gesture that gives you a completely different view of camping.
From 7 March (until 26 April) young architects can submit their sketch design via www.architentenchallenge.nl. On April 30th, the jury will announce the 3 finalists and the winner on May 30th. His or her tent will be realised by Karsten Tenten and will steal the show at the Lowlands camping (16-18 August).
