Children’s theatre does not necessarily equal funny or fooling around. The programming of De Krakeling (which literally translates to The Pretzel) offers a stage for stories about bullying, global warming and sexuality. De Krakeling has been the platform for the finest Dutch actors for decades and introduces about 40,000 children and young people to theater every year. We helped De Krakeling with their new website, and offer them a new stage for all shows.

For children, but not childish

The Krakeling is a theater for children, but not produced or played by children. To show this clearly, we chose to focus on the quality, variety and specifications of performances. Parents and supervisors can instantly see which genres play when, for which age a performance is appropriate and the duration of the performance. This way they can make the best choice for their child and the theater companies get the chance to present themselves in the best possible way.

Playful details

The playful aspect is discreetly added. We found it important to give the overall website a sense of convenience and kindness, with playful elements such as the menu. Already existing corporate style elements have been updated and implemented in the website. Simple navigation and user-friendly filtering help you find what you’re looking for and guide you through the choices.
